After his co-host, Sean Hannity, played cheerleader for Republican candidate, Diana Irey, on Friday,s Hannity & Colmes Show on Fox News, his colleague, Alan Colmes, balanced the interview by making Irey very uncomfortable about some of her untrue attacks against her opponent, Congressman Jack Murtha.
Irey, repeating her 'old news, diatribe about the Congressman not supporting the troops had Colmes level Irey with the truth. Fact is, according to Colmes, even Iraqi Prime Minister Malaki - America,s guy in the Iraq government - has been saying some of the same things about the troops and the war that Murtha had pointed out. Irey didn,t want to talk about that, she squirmed back to her attack-dog mode against Murtha.
Then, Colmes pointed out the truth that American polls show our citizens as being unhappy with President Bush,s mismanagement of the war. He added that the American people,s position was closer to Murtha,s than hers. "We,re not talking about the president," Irey said, showing that her refusal to criticize fellow Republican Bush means, if elected, she will go to Congress as a Bushie, a rubber stamp for all the President,s failed policies.
Diana Irey is desperate enough to say anything about Jack Murtha even if the facts otherwise get in the way.
